Hey guys! Did you know that there are only two more days until Halloween? This year, I’ve decided to dress up as Wednesday Addams.
I’ve secretly always liked Wednesday. From her name that screams originality mixed with her I-don’t-give-a-hoot attitude, to her ability to rock a little black dress and stick with it (hey, it worked for Audrey), to her carefully chosen and annunciated words, and finally, to her fearless attitude. In a weird way, she is the epitome of girlish perfection. How could I not want to be her?
This is what you’ll need for Wednesday’s makeup:
foundation (the lighter, the better)
sponge
power cover-up (again, the lighter the better)
liquid eye-liner (brown or black)
dark brown eyeshadow
dark grey eyeshadow
mascara (brown or black)
makeup brushes (in various sizes)
1. Apply foundation with a makeup sponge. Be sure to get full coverage over your face and neck.
2. Next, use the eyeliner to trace your upper lid. At the corners of your lids, wing the eyeliner upwards for a cat eye effect. (Normally, I would put the eyeshadow first and eyeliner on second, but I wanted the eyeliner to be understated. It’s merely for more definition of the eye since Wednesday’s are quite beautiful and large.)
3. Apply the dark brown eyeshadow to your top lid. Once it is successfully covered, take the grey eyeshadow and add it to the creases of your lids.
4. Now apply the same grey eyeshadow to the underside of your eyes.
5. Take a large makeup brush and lightly dust cover-up over your entire face. Focus especially under the eye where you may have experienced fall out from the eyeshadow.
6. The last step is to fill in and darken your eyebrows. I simply used the same dark brown eyeshadow for mine. Once they look full, use the foundation and sponge to wipe away any imperfections. After that, put a scowl on your face and get ready to terrorize any poor soul who comes your way!
