“A woman has got to love a bad man once or twice in her life to be thankful for a good one.”
Mae West

My husband celebrates is twenty-ninth birthday today! I found this quote in my daily calendar for the date of January 16th. Although I read it a few days prior, I feel as if I were meant to see it in time for his birthday. Words often fail me when I attempt to describe my adoration for Geoffrey. This one line literally took the words right out of my mouth. It is what I felt on the first that day I met him, and he has only affirmed my belief in him over the last few years. I am one blessed girl to have found such a kind and loving man.

Happy Birthday!

    Happy Birthday Brother!

Thanks for taking such great care of my little sister and I wish you another adventurous year with Em.

And Em, congratulations on reaching 1,000 subscribers. A worthy milestone; well done.

  2. Really sweet…birthday wishes to him..and happy relation to you both ☺

  3. He’s my son in law and I have already sent him his birthday wish and yes I agree he’s a good guy. But adoration? Oh no my dear child. Love him be honest and fair with him but you take that adoration and throw it out the window. adoration is an improper imbalance. To adore is to worship and worship belongs under a holy roof. So scoff that. I see we have to have another talk behind the barn.

    • Oh mum, you and I are ages apart and thus have different views on love. He is my best friend, my lover, my rock. We don’t have children, and thus I only have him and my animals. I truly adore him, as I do my pet family. I would give everything and do anything for them. There is nothing wrong with me saying that. I am entitled to feel that way.

How about coming to our Little Barn since you haven’t even seen it yet? Your husband only has.

      • How about I don’t have a husband? People marry because they are scared to be alone. And our views aren’t different cos we are ages apart. If marriage is so equal why does the woman wait for the man to propose? Good grief.

  4. So sweet! I feel this way about my husband, too.

  • I was intending for this video to only be in my stories. After watching it again and again, I decided to post it in my feed as well. I wish to never forget moments like these. Remy’s typical game of asking to go in her crib only to throw everything out of it and pretend to go to sleep. Or her new one- taking her rings in with her and playing with them (after she throws everything out, of course). She makes me say every colour before going to the next one. Then she stacks them up, gets out, and shelves the toy until we have to repeat the game all over again. I let her make her messes all while trying to spend every waking and spare minute with her. These are our days and rituals. I don’t know about you, but I certainly don’t wake up with this much energy.
