• Hello, friends. My name is Emory. I live on the Canadian prairies with my husband, daughter, and animals. Welcome!

  • Hello, Instagram

Always ready to help unload the dishwasher, clean dishes or not. More importantly, it's Friday! It's #InternationalWomensDay. I hope that Remy will be able to grow up in a world where women have equal rights, equal pay, equal everything. I hope that she will be able to realize her dreams, no matter what they are. I hope that she will fight for those individuals who need fighting for. While I'm so blessed to have a daughter, I also sometimes worry about her future. Yet, I'm reassured in that I know she will continue to be smart, brave, and strong, because she is a woman.

Devils Tower

“At night in the part of the West the stars, as I had seen them in Wyoming, were as big as Roman Candles and as lonely as the Prince who’s lost his ancestral home and journeys across the spaces trying to find it again, and knows he never will.”

    • Thank you! Jack Kerouac has always been one of my favourite authors to quote. I suppose I use his words too much, but they are so fitting given our own recent “On The Road” road trip!
