in the store

Sold1I am not sure what it is about this month, but sales in the store have skyrocketed recently. Last year at this time, Potomac Trading Post had been open for less than four months. January sales were probably the lowest that they had been all year. I thought that perhaps it was something that I was doing wrong, but it turns out that the first month of the year is usually the slowest for retail stores (given that customers are still recovering from Christmas). This year, January has proven to be a profitable month so far. So thank you, everyone! I could not have done it and would not be here without all of you.

HSSOLDPictured above are just a few items that have sold since Friday.

SoldDon’t forget to visit the store website for more clothing and antique options, or eBay to purchase them directly. We ship worldwide, and combine items!

  1. Congrats! My EBay January sales are usually good as well, but I just haven’t made the time to shop (I shop thrift stores and flea markets for vintage items). I have to get back to it!

    • Good for you as well!! What is your eBay store name? I’d like to look it up. :-)))

I think that we have one advantage over brick and mortar retail stores, and that’s the online advantage. It’s much easier to stay home and spend money as opposed to going out in the cold and spending it. Plus our hours are 24/7.

  • Hello, friends. My name is Emory. I live on the Canadian prairies with my husband, daughter, and animals. Welcome!

  • A few weeks ago we were running around in short sleeve dresses. Now we're in jackets and hats. 🍂 A horribly blurry picture that pretty much sums up our week together. It's been 5 days and our home is nearly flu-free. Dada is off working in a different province, (smiles aside) Remy is not happy with me today, our house is a renovation disaster, and I have a photography session scheduled tomorrow that I'm not yet sure if I need to hire a babysitter for. I'm not going to lie, I'm really looking forward to this week being over with. It was not easy, however that's life. There is so much that I do have to be thankful for! We are in good health 99% of the time. My husband finally has a great job. I am lucky to be able to work when I want at what I want. We have a house. Most importantly, I have my little goose to snuggle with. I sincerely hope that if anyone else is having a bad day/week/month/year, that you can also find the silver lining. Our own life is not for everyone, nor is it Instagram perfect. If we're lucky, it is the one that we desire, even in the difficult times. Enjoy your weekend!
