nursery envy

DSC_3826I know from experience from building a home that when it comes to planning a room, one can spend countless hours online pinning and saving pictures for inspiration. I tried to not let it get the best of me in regards to a nursery. In fact, a lot of the nurseries that I did come across slowly began to appear the same. There always seemed to be a beautiful crib, a statement wall, pale paint, bright accents, a large dresser or changeable, a nursing chair, a small and organized play area, and an oversized picture hanging above the crib. Granted, these are things that are needed within a nursery. Searching for rooms that stood out took a bit of time, but I think that I have finally compiled a good collection of children’s rooms that I envy, in addition to having something that sets them apart from the rest.

Here are my favourite nurseries thus far:

  1. These are very nice. We put some pictures over my son’s crib and never had any issues, they were well out of reaching height even at toddler age. A statement mobile is definitely something to think about! Good luck.

  3. Sweet! I do not recommend hanging any picture over a crib! No not a good idea. A mobile over the crib fabulous idea.

  • Hello, friends. My name is Emory. I live on the Canadian prairies with my husband, daughter, and animals. Welcome!

  • In just 3 short days, @omgkersh gets to come home for 3 full (and equally short) days. He has been gone for only 3 weeks. In that amount of time, Remy has learned a few more words, has gone from waking at 5:30 am to now 7:30 am, and goes to sleep at 9 pm instead of 8 pm. She has begun to have tantrums, was babysat 5 times, and she no longer needs me for nap time. The most astonishing thing is that she nearly doubled the amount of teeth in her mouth by getting 3 more! I also had to put Holly to sleep, and to deal with some family issues. On top of all of that, Geoffrey will be gone for an additional 3 weeks until he is home for good. I'm hoping (and praying) that the remaining time that he is away will go much smoother than it did. Lord, give me strength. And coffee. And friends. Some little girl has been throwing tantrums alllllllll morning. In other news, I finally found a chair for this space. Now I just need art for the walls. Any suggestions?
