our trip to waskesiu

Hello friends and hello summer!!

Last weekend Geoffrey and I took the children to Prince Albert National Park. Apart from going there last year, it’s something that we used to do every June for our anniversary until we became parents. Once we had Remy, we stopped going camping.

This marks our second summer in a row in Waskesiu, and I think that it’s a tradition that we are going to keep up again. Everyone truly loves it. Last year we went as a family of four in our renovated tent trailer. This year we went as a family of five at stayed at Elk Ridge Lodge. Oh. My. Goodness. It was beyond beautiful. It reminded me more of Colorado than Saskatchewan. The resort has a pool and water slide, two restaurants, spa, a zip line and rock wall, golf course, and more! I can’t ever see us staying anywhere else in the whole of the National Park.

Here are the pictures from our trip. I hope that you like them!

It’s always such an exciting time with the change of a new season. Summer is especially welcome on the prairies as it means there will be no cold or snow for several months. Um, yes please!

What are your plans for this summer? Do you have any vacations booked? Let me know.

And happy belated Father’s Day to the men out there!

happy halloween

Happy Halloween, family, friends, and readers!

Geoffrey, Remy, and I visited yet another corn maze this year. When we were last here, I was pregnant with Miss Remy. This time, she ate popcorn, ran around, threw footballs and squash, and giggled almost the entire time. Gosh, I love fall. I love Halloween! Here are some pictures of our time spent at the Youth Farm Corn Maze.

What are your plans for today? Let me know in the comments below!

s + b + r by the bessborough

This was my second time photographing a young family outside of the Bessborough this fall. I absolutely love this location. It offers so much diversity, and the pictures turn out like nothing else in my portfolio. In a good way, of course! This couple was so in love with their daughter, and with one another. They were sweet and inspiring. More sessions like these, please.

These are just a few of those photographs. To book a session of your own, please visit Prudence + Me Photography.

fall pet session

When I was first contacted by M + T, I was asked if I could photograph them with their cat and dog. I was told that they were turned down by a few other photographers because of their pets. How could I say no after hearing that? I’ll admit that I was a little nervous to photograph a cat in an open conservation area. Yet, it would only mean that I would have something else to add to my resume. Plus, they were all so easy to work with! The cat was actually the most laid back one in the bunch.

cranberry flats

Geoffrey is currently out-of-province away on training for a new career. He has been gone for a few weeks and do we ever miss him. Prior to him leaving, we had our last family session of the summer. Look at this scenery. I love where we live.

This summer cannot end soon enough. We’re so excited to have him back next month!
