what i bought: zara

zara-baby-1zara-baby-2Remy is at a stage where she is currently in between sizes. In being a somewhat smaller baby, she is always right on track for her age and clothing. When she was 2 months, she was wearing 0-3 month clothes. At 5 months, it was 3-6 month, and 8 months was 6-12 months. You get the picture. Now that she is 10 months, she is slightly too big for 6-12 month but not quite big enough for 12-18 month clothes.

zara-baby-4I’ve recently purged Remy’s closet and now am left with only a few items. I started ordering a few pieces online, hoping that they will fit her. These socks and this dress from Zara are included in my purchases.

zara-baby-5The dress is actually one that she will be wearing for her 1st birthday. I’m planning a big soiree for her, and will reveal all to you at the beginning of next month. The theme is near and dear to my heart, just like my little girl.

zara-baby-7Have a wonderful weekend!

mommy and me: christmas ootd

Processed with VSCO with a4 presetLast year, I compiled a Christmas outfit list that I desperately wanted to buy and wear. This year, I put together an actual outfit that I will be wearing.

This OOTD is both practical and coordinated with my littlest. My dress was purchased from Choies. While light grey definitely doesn’t hide any flaws, I just adore the colour.

Remy’s cute onesie was actually purchased from the grocery store. It has a wonderful sparkle to it that makes it look dressier than a regular onesie. Her thick tights are from The Children’s Place.

Processed with VSCO with a4 presetI don’t always match my daughter like this. However, it’s Christmas, and if ugly sweaters are fashionable, then so are matching outfits. At least in my world.

See you next week!

harlee’s closet : maxi dress

Harlee's Closet OOTD - 5Today’s lovely outfit post is actually nearly three months overdue. It was originally going to be posted on my due date, with a mention of me taking a break for awhile to await the arrival of my baby. But because I delivered our daughter early, this OOTD post never came to light. Until now, that is.

Harlee's Closet OOTD - 12

Harlee’s Closet is an online store that I follow on Instagram. Their vibe is so hippie, in the chicest way imaginable. When I was eight months pregnant, I was still wearing my regular clothes. My go-to look at the time included maxi dresses, chunky boots, and cute toques. So I ended up ordering two dresses from Harlee’s Closet. This grey dress was one of them, and I lived in it, and this floral crop top until Remy arrived.

Harlee's Closet OOTD - 3Although the weather has warmed up forty degrees, I couldn’t resist blogging about one of my favourite maxi dresses to date. The fabric is so soft, and it is the perfect shade of grey to hide all postpartum flaws. It was also in immaculate condition. It now reminds me of being pregnant, and for that, I will always cherish it.

Harlee's Closet OOTD - 15Be sure to visit their website! Have the most wonderful weekend!

the red dress

Red Dress OOTD - 3Now that my body is ever-changing, I have come to the conclusion about a couple of things in my wardrobe. One is that I really love the colour red. The second is that I hate mini dresses.

Pre-prenatal, I used to only wear dresses.  Most of my frocks tended to be long sleeve, but with a shorter hemline. This would allow me to be able to wear them all year and throughout the changing seasons. If the weather was cold then I would roll down my long sleeves, put on thick leggings and chunky boots. If it was warm, my sleeves would go up and I would forgo leggings and stick with flats. Now, I no longer want to draw attention to my legs. I feel as if I am getting bigger everywhere, and so I want to cover up my pins and put them away until the baby arrives.

Red Dress OOTD - 4This will probably be the last mini dress that I purchase until after Spring. It will not be my last wine-coloured dress, however. If I can no longer drink it, then I will have to resort to wearing it. :-)

Happy Friday the 13th, everyone!

blue floral romper

Floral Romper - 3Floral Romper - 6Have you guys ever heard of Choies? Up until a few weeks ago, I certainly had not. I forget how I stumbled across the website, but once I was on it, I was hooked. They have the cutest clothing for such a low price. This is music to a pregnant girl’s ears, considering whatever I buy will be outgrown in a matter of months. Time to load up that virtual cart!

Floral Romper - 5I actually only bought one item. It was a blue, floral romper with pompoms. I honestly cannot get enough of floral patterns. I think that 90% of what I own has at least one flower on it. Maybe I’m starting to look like the crazy botanic lady, but I don’t care. I feel ‘blooming’ lovely in them.

Floral Romper - 8The cozy knit sweater that I have on is also available in the store. Mine. Not Choies.

Floral Romper - 7I’m wearing: Floral Romper : Choies // Blanket Wrap : BB Dakota // Tights : Target // Floral Oxfords : Rachel Antonoff.

Floral Romper - 4Have a wonderful weekend!
