wilder is four

This week, sweet, funny, happy, wild Wilder turns four years old!

He is growing up quickly. Already attending preschool in the same school as his older sister, he is fiercely independent. In his natural state, you will find him with a toy gun, car, or stick in his hand, rocks in his pocket, and a smile on his face. He loves being outside or playing indoors with anyone who will give him attention. My little Scorpio is the perfect mix of sugar and spice.

We love you, Wildy!

diy black & white shed

Welcome to our new home!!

In a bid to save thousands of dollars, rather than purchasing a nice new shed, we decided to give our inherited and worse for wear one a refresh. Above is what it originally looked like.

We purchased inexpensive solar lights, shrubs, hinges, mat, reused a deck/table, and painted it all black and white. In the end we spent under $200.

I hope that you will follow along with my blog as we navigate renovations in our new house. We have many more to come your way!

happy halloween

Happy Halloween boys and ghouls!

These were taken in October at my mum’s place on our most recent trip to BC. I’m so blessed to have three little ghostlings of my own this year!

Have a safe and happy Halloween.

how to choose the right bin for your needs?

Many people might be confused about the different dumpster bins when they need to rent one. There are some key differences between bins for garbage and concrete. Here are a few things to keep in mind when making your choice:

– Garbage bin rentals typically have a lower weight limit than concrete bin rentals. This is because concrete is much heavier than garbage, so the bins need to be stronger in order to accommodate it.

– Concrete bin rentals usually come with a dumpster attached. This is because concrete is very difficult to clean up, so having a dumpster on hand makes the job much easier.

– Garbage bin rentals can be rented for shorter periods of time than concrete bin rentals. This is because concrete takes longer to harden, so you need to rent the bin for a longer period of time in order to ensure that it is properly cured.

– Concrete bin rentals typically cost more than garbage bin rentals. This is because concrete is more expensive to dispose of than garbage, so the bin rental companies charge more for their services.

If you need to find a perfect bin rental company for your needs, you can do some simple research. No matter if you need to renovate your house or business, you need to rent the right bins to take care of the waste. Here are a few things to keep in mind when choosing a bin rental company:

– Make sure they have a good reputation. Check online reviews and see what others have said about their experience with the company.

– Ensure they offer the size of bin you need. You don’t want to end up with a bin that’s too small or too large for your needs. You can talk to the specialist to find the right product for your home or business before making a decision.

– Inquire about their pricing. Some companies charge by the day, while others charge by the week or month. Get an idea of what their rates are so you can budget accordingly.

– Ask about any additional fees. Some bin rental companies charge for delivery, pick-up, or both. Find out if there are any hidden costs so you can factor them into your decision.

Choosing the right bin rental company doesn’t have to be a daunting task. With a bit of research, you can find a company that will meet your needs and provide you with the service you deserve.

recipe: simple, spooky dirt cups

Makes 1 dozen

Ingredients:

(For the cookie cups)
1/4 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla
1 large egg
1/4 tsp salt

(For the filling and topping)
2 Instant Pudding Cups
1/2 cup milk or dark chocolate bar, grated
12 gummy worms

Steps:

1. For the cookie cups: Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease 12 muffin cups and set aside. Cream butter and sugar together in a medium or large bowl until fluffy. Then add vanilla and egg and mix well. Next add flour, cocoa, and salt and stir until well-combined.

2. Remove batter from bowl and divide into 12 balls. Press down the balls into the muffin cups ensuring that they fully cover the bottom and halfway up the sides. Place in oven and bake for 10 minutes. Remove from oven, let cool, then remove them from tray.

3. For the filling: Fill each cup with equal amounts of pudding. Insert worm into cup and top with grated chocolate. Keep cool until ready to serve these spooky treats.
