20 weeks

First of all, thank you all so much for all of your kind words on my pregnancy reveal post! You guys are seriously the best. :-))) And now I’m at the mid point of my pregnancy!

So much has happened between weeks 18 and 20. For instance:

baby can now hear our voices
– it has finger and toe prints
– its legs are finally in proportion with its body
– it is covered in vernix
– it can now open its eyes
– I felt its first kicks

This is our babe at my 12 weeks ultrasound appointment. I explained on Instagram that seeing his/her movements and beating heart was just so emotional. With our second baby, I had two ultrasounds. At 6 weeks, it had a slow heartbeat. At 8 weeks, there was none. I specifically waited until I was further along to even book an appointment with this baby, just in case I lost another one. During the appointment, he/she was waving at us on the screen, so I took it as a sign that it was doing fantastic and everything would be OK!

Feel free to revisit my 20 week update with Remy.

Have a lovely weekend, all!

20 weeks pregnant

20 Weeks PregnantI am officially halfway through my pregnancy! Hallelujah!

20 Weeks Pregnant - 2My last update was 4 weeks ago. So far, there have been more downs than ups. Yet, this may be my one and only time being pregnant, so I am trying to stay happy and positive throughout. It’s honestly not hard, not even when I have the worst migraine and backache, and I catch a smell that makes me want to vomit, all the while not being able to enjoy the taste of anything because for 20 weeks it feels as if I have a metal tongue. All I have to do is look down and think, oh, you are in there and are alive! I instantly feel better.

20 Weeks Pregnant - 3Let’s just hope that my husband thinks that I’ve been good about not complaining like I do. ;-)))

movie date ootd

Movie Date OOTD - 3Movie Date OOTD - 4A few days ago, Geoffrey and I went to see the film The Martian. What a great movie! We were able to catch it in 3D, which only made the experience that much more enjoyable. Coming from someone who is obsessed with thrillers and gory films, this one was equally as intense as watching a horror movie. I had to cover my eyes throughout several parts. It was that good!

Movie Date OOTD - 10Movie Date OOTD - 7Movie Date OOTD - 1Given that it is mid-October and we are still not wearing jackets during the day, I decided to take advantage of this unseasonably warm weather. I am trying to get away with not buying maternity clothes. So far, it has been easy. I have purchased a few new dresses, all one size up from what I normally wear. My leggings still fit, albeit they now rest under my growing stomach rather than comfortably on top. In two more days, I will be at the 20 week mark. I wonder how much longer I can go before I cave and have to start buying maternity outfits?

Movie Date OOTD - 5I purchased my dress from ThreadSence. The wool hat and terrarium necklace are for sale in the store.
