in november

Screen Shot 2015-11-30 at 3.14.51 PMWelcome, December readers!

Another month has gone by, and here we are only weeks away from Christmas and the New Year. Say what?

Screen Shot 2015-11-30 at 3.15.23 PMHere is what happened over on Hello, Scarlett in November.

IMG_0001I celebrated the passing weeks of my pregnancy. I began the month at 22 weeks, and ended it at 26 weeks! Baby is now the size of an eggplant. Huzzah! #🍆

In The Store - 3There were many OOTDs and promotions in the store this month. I also had two fashion posts. One featured a romper that I had purchased online, and the other a dress that I bought in town.

Kinfolk_Vol17_TheBloodMenu-2There were three food-related posts as well. The first was a brilliant dessert, the second was a look into coffee, and the third was a mason jar brownie recipe.

Red Jenny LindI discussed our new crib in this post. I also introduced my newest nephew to all of you!

DIY Sonogram Frame - 5There was only one DIY this month. It centred around babies, of course.

Screen Shot 2015-11-30 at 3.13.30 PMAs for our weather, we went from having no snow to having a lot of snow. Much of it has since melted, and for the rest of this week we will be having temperatures above 0°C (32°F). That is extremely warm for the prairies.

Screen Shot 2015-11-30 at 3.14.29 PMLast but not least, I not only celebrated my 30th birthday, but said goodbye to my mother as well. (Don’t worry, she’s still alive!)

Screen Shot 2015-11-30 at 3.14.10 PMAll in all it was a fairly easy month. Now, to start preparing for the madness that is December.

Thirty - 9Have a wonderful Tuesday!

Screen Shot 2015-10-29 at 9.54.13 AMThe month of October came and went so quickly that I almost can’t believe that it was even here. These are some of the things that we got up to during that busy time.

Beard Oil DIY - 9Did you happen to see my do-it-yourself posts? First, I featured an easy beard oil tutorial. Then I had a duo candy and candle pumpkin holder, just in time for Halloween.

il_fullxfull.735150734_32zlI had several fashion posts, from a cropped jacket restyle, to a movie date outfit, to my favourite baby finds on Etsy.

Pregnancy Pillow - 3Speaking of babies, I shared my best purchase thus far, and celebrated being 20 weeks along!

Movie Date OOTD - 10Surprisingly, we only went to one film last month! However, we did watch several online, and I discussed the scariest ones here.

IMG_2740Wren from Florian shared her enchanted home tour on the blog.

Edmonton Trip - 13We also took a weekend trip to our dream Canadian city, and one that we hope to move to in just a few short months.

IMG_0887Last but not least, Truman celebrated his birthday at the end of October. He is now 3 years old.

IMG_0793Now that we are already into November, the days are getting shorter and colder. Soon there will be snow, and I will be having my 30th birthday this month. Yikes!

14.jpgWelcome you devoted Hump-Day readers! You might have noticed that my post today has two titles. TWO!! Or you might still be half asleep and not understanding why I’m shouting numbers at you. It’s because not only did my husband and I stage a photo shoot with our beloved pets, but I also took the opportunity to combine it with what is new in my store Potomac Trading Post, Ltd. Huzzah! How’s that for smart blogging and marketing? (Actually, not very. It’s been done before.)

here comes the sun

IMG_1.jpg IMG_2.jpgIMG_3.jpg IMG_4.jpgIMG_5.jpg IMG_6.jpgIMG_7.jpg IMG_8.jpgIMG_9.jpg IMG_10.jpgEvery morning, Truman and I take a long walk down to and around the river that runs through our city. We are lucky enough to only live a couple of blocks away. While the paved path can become quite congested with people and animals, the dirt path that runs between its paved counterpart and the river itself is always empty. I let Truman off his leash, and together we explore it freely. On this particular day, our walk to the river was extremely overcast. Then, about half way through, the sun came out and rose over the horizon. It was magical.

Our river walks are a ritual that have gotten increasingly longer with each passing day. Spring has officially sprung in Saskatchewan, and we are loving it.

Have a great weekend, friends.
