happy father’s day

“A truly rich man is one whose children run into his arms when his hands are empty.”

Happy belated Father’s Day to all dads (in whatever form that may encompass). You are important in your children’s lives, and so you deserve to be celebrated!

I hope that you enjoyed your special day. :-)))

father’s day

Processed with VSCO with a6 presetThis Sunday is Father’s Day. As I celebrated my first Mother’s Day this year, so, too, will my husband be celebrating his first Father’s Day.

I couldn’t find a more wonderful man to have a child with. I love how you call her beautiful as if it were her name. I love how you always try to get her to smile. I love that in the evenings and on the weekends she’s always in your arms so that I can have a break. I love how when you get sad when you can’t soothe her, only because it shows your tender side. I love how you agree that she was the best thing to ever happen to us. I love how you buy her gifts without me even asking you to. I love how you do all of the diaper changes in the middle of the night. I love how you want to spend every waking moment with her. I love how she’s only been with us for four months, and we now have the rest of our lives to grow with her. Most of all, I love you so much more now that you’re a father.

father’s day ideas

On Sunday, June 21, 2015, it will be Father’s Day. I don’t know about you, but I’m not ready for it this year. I’ve only just begun to look for gifts for the father figures in my life. While I was doing so, I came across this website. An outfit packed in a trunk? A waterproof notebook? Copper mugs? Hammock? These all look like some amazing ideas!

33019266_001_bIn the meantime, did you know that your father was a hipster? Or so says this article from the UK version of Urban Outfitters. It’s hilarious. Please, give it a read.

What are your plans for this upcoming holiday?
