vsco-photo-1Helllooooo February! Also, to the last few weeks of my pregnancy!

As always, the previous month was filled with all things food, fashion, DIY, and baby. What else would I write about?

Printed Onesie DIY - 7Little Barn Cupboards - 6Let’s begin with DIYs. I had a simple tutorial on handprinted onesies, as well as a not-so-simple one on choosing and installing kitchen cabinets. Both turned out beautifully in the end.

Birth Prepardness - 3Speaking of babies, I had both a 32 week and 34 week pregnancy update on the blog. The former was filled with drama while the latter was much calmer. I also wrote about our enlightening experience in our prenatal classes. Last, but not least, was my farewell to my favourite pastime. That is, until our little one arrives.

Roast - 1In a bid to make suppers more effortless, we have been utilizing our crock pot more often. Last month I posted two recipes that centred on the crock pot. Here you can find our take on a delicious pulled pork recipe. We had an easy ham and scalloped potato one as well.

PM-J1186A_968_Virgin_FIGURE_01I showed you what was currently in the store for men. I also wrote a post thanking you for the boost in sales compared to this time last year. I could not run the store without the support that I get from buyers both locally and on a worldwide scale.

Geoff Birthday 2My love Geoffrey celebrated his 30th birthday last month. As my mum likes to ask us every year, “who has a birthday in January?!” While it was freezing, it was actually quite lovely and low-key.

IMG_0340Here I discussed printing photographs as well as learned what you do with your digital pictures.

Screen Shot 2015-02-26 at 8.58.50 PMHellllooooo, March!

At times, when I write these monthly wrap-up posts, it feels as if I’m writing it from a third person perspective. So much takes place, which always varies greatly from the month before it, all while feeling like a lifetime ago. I always feel removed from the events after they occur. Does anyone else experience those same emotions when looking back on previous blog posts?

Screen Shot 2015-02-26 at 8.58.08 PMRegardless, February was short and sweet, just as I predicted. The only negative aspect about it was the drop in temperature. Repetitive mornings of -40°C are not fun!

Screen Shot 2015-02-26 at 9.01.55 PMLet’s begin with my favourite kinds of posts; DIYs. This Hearts and Stripes Pillow was incredibly useful and fun to make! It is also a great gift idea for any gender, and for any occasion.

Processed with VSCOcam with hb1 presetI also made a simple, Canadian meal that can be seen here. It remains one of my go-to dishes when I’m not sure what to cook that day.

TheLittleBarn1Lastly, I showed you how to give the exterior of your home a facelift with Vintage Barn Lighting. I was also directed to some other great lighting companies in the comments section. Thank goodness for you, readers, and your input! I learn from you with each one of my posts.

Home Series 13Speaking of The Little Barn, I discussed the outcome of its beautiful Tongue and Groove Ceiling in this post. I had initially blogged about stain colours in December with Fifty Shades of Grey.

Home Series 3A few days ago, I not only published the first house in my Home series, but also gave an extensive house tour of The Little Barn!

Screen Shot 2015-02-26 at 8.57.30 PMI brought in a dash of culture with a Canadian music post (which this is clearly not a photo of).

Screen Shot 2015-02-16 at 9.04.21 AMWhile we’re on the Canadian train, I also enlisted your help in Choosing a National Bird for our great country! The comment section, again, was incredible! You guys were so helpful and informative. I loved it.

WIB 1-6I published two fashion posts. The first was what’s In The Store. The second was What I Bought.

Processed with VSCOcam with a5 presetIn regards to personal style, I also chopped my locks off again. I don’t feel like myself unless I have a pixie-esque ‘do. #shorthairdontcare

Screen Shot 2015-02-26 at 9.05.25 PMFinally, last, but certainly not least, I revealed to you that we were going on an American Road Trip for 8 days. We are currently on this holiday, and as I write this (only one day prior to leaving), I hope that we are enjoying ourselves. This post has by far received the most comments to date! I got so much amazing feedback from you, and we are trying our best to see all of the sites that you mentioned. So thank you!

Have a wonderful week, friends!

Processed with VSCOcam with a5 presetHellooooo February! It’s great to see your smiling face. I am so stoked that January has come to a conclusion, because it was such a long and stressful month on our end. If you guys liked it, I’m totally fine with that! I won’t hold it against you. :-)))

Screen Shot 2015-01-05 at 10.33.14 AMSo what happened in the coldest month of the year? Well to begin, we have been moving into The Little Barn over the last few weeks. It’s been slow, rough, and just not a fun experience in the least bit.

GlitterBanner5Geoffrey celebrated his birthday on the 19th. That was probably one of the only good things to come out of January.

HomeHarvest2Actually, that was a lie. I found out that I am now a regular contributor for another magazine. This one is called Home & Harvest and is published monthly in the States!

ButterTarts3I also managed to produce five wonderful DIYs! Two were for eating (one fruity and one chocolate treat), one other for sleeping, the other for making, and the last for displaying. The banner actually turned out better than I could have hoped for, and I am so excited to create more!

1.jpgJanuary started off extremely slow in regards to sales in the Potomac Trading Post, Ltd. store. However, I read that it’s actually the worst month for all retail stores, given that customers are still recovering from their Christmas expenditures. Towards the second half of the month, it began to pick up. Now I’m right back on track with sales goals! Whew!

WW6-1Speaking of clothes, I had two different OOTD posts. One was to ring in the New Year, and the other showcasing my favourite, and oldest, go-to dress. The latter spawned yet another life lesson from my mum, AKA Night Owl. I also hinted to what was in the store, here.

p03nS9t3pHiDUretGYdA3qKeixjWe went and saw The Imitation Game and Gone Girl in the theatres. I didn’t blog about that, but both are worth noting!

Crates6Last but not least, I introduced a new series based on the idea of the Home that will begin next month! If you’re interested in taking part, there are still a few spots remaining!

Processed with VSCOcam with a5 presetFebruary’s going to be a fun and short month. I can feel it!
