Breakfast time is a big deal. It’s the first meal of the day and it sets the tone for how we’re going to start our day. It can set us up for success or failure, depending on what we eat. So, why not make it fun? Why not make it something that we look forward to because it’s so delicious? Let’s take a look at some ways that you can make breakfast time a little more fun and exciting – without having to stress about what you’re making or how much sugar is in it!

Why You Need to Shake Up Breakfast Ideas

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. It’s a great time to get some healthy food before you start your day. But sometimes it can be hard to come up with new ideas for breakfast. The key to a successful breakfast is variety. Try different breakfast ideas and shake up your routine with something new!

Some of the most popular breakfast foods are cereals, eggs, and toast, but there are plenty of other options to consider!

1. Pancake Topped with Fruit

Pancakes are a classic breakfast food that can be made in many different flavors. The most common toppings for pancakes are butter and maple syrup. However, there are many other ways you can make your pancakes healthier and more exciting. One of the easiest and healthiest options is to use fruit as a topping for your pancake.

2. Morning Glory Muffins

The muffins have a light, fluffy texture and a subtle sweetness. They are perfect for breakfast or as an afternoon snack. They also come in a range of ideas like blueberry, chocolate, and banana muffins with nuts. Morning Glory Muffins are a healthy alternative to traditional muffins. 3. Oatmeal with All the Toppings

Oatmeal is one of the most popular breakfast options. It is high in fiber, low in calories, and a great way to start the day. Oatmeal can be made with milk or water and then topped with a variety of ingredients. Some people like adding fruit, nuts, honey, cinnamon or cocoa powder to their oatmeal. There are also many different ways of cooking oatmeal so that it isn’t too thick.

4. Healthy Fruit Yogurt Parfaits or Smoothie Bowls

Yogurt parfaits and smoothie bowls are a great way to get your daily dose of fruits and vegetables. The best part is that you can customize them depending on your taste buds. You can add any kind of yogurt you like to the parfait or the bowl. It is up to you whether you want plain yogurt, greek yogurt, or flavored yogurt. For toppings, you can add granola, nuts, seeds, dried fruit, berries, honey and a lot more.

bow tie hair clip diy

2.jpgI am often on the hunt for cute hair accessories. The only problem is that they can be very expensive, and I generally only wear them a few times before I grow bored of them. I also do that with my clothes. Shoes and purses though, are another story.

Now that you have some useless insight into my personality, I’m going to show you how to make several simple, and better yet inexpensive, Bow Tie Hair Clips.

1.jpg1. Purchase small, multi-coloured bow ties (I got mine from the Dollar Store).

3.jpg2. Purchase hair clips (I prefer bobby pins).

4.jpg3. Adhere the bow ties to the clips. A glue gun will work best, but because I chose bow ties with adhesive already applied, I simply needed to peel and stick them onto the bobby pins.

5.jpgThis craft cost less than $2.50 to make, and took a total of 5 minutes. That’s approximately $0.50 per minute. While those would be horrible minimum wage earnings, that’s a more than reasonable DIY experience!

Games Night.

IMG_4.jpg IMG_2.jpgIMG_3.jpg IMG_1.jpgOctober to January are probably the busiest 4 months around our home. I am guessing that may be true for lots of people. With October comes four birthdays, Thanksgiving, and Halloween. My birthday and most of our Christmas shopping occurs in November. December brings Christmas, more shopping, two additional birthdays, and New Years Eve. Finally, January is all about making changes and celebrating my husband’s birthday. It never ends!

My mentality has always been to work hard and play very little. However, the older I get, the more I realize that work is not everything. I am starting to see how important it is to take the time to unwind, if only for an hour a day. Hanging out with friends is something that almost never happens, but is also something that I am trying to incorporate into my life more. This may only come once a month, but when it does, I make sure to set aside an entire evening to do so. Games night is a great example how I like to spend time relaxing with friends.

Now that we are in the final weeks before Christmas, please make sure you also take some time out for yourselves! This will help you unwind, regroup, and feel rejuvenated for the holiday season. With all of the planning and stress that goes into it, it’s sometimes easy to forget the real meaning of Christmas.

Have a wonderful Wednesday!
