wears : winners

Processed with VSCO with a4 presetOh, glorious, glorious summer. You have been especially kind to us on the prairies this year. We have been given blazing hot days since the end of April. With each passing month, my shorts have become shorter, and my tops lighter.

Processed with VSCO with a4 presetDo any of you have the store Winners where you live? It has amazing name brand clothing offered at great discounted price. In fact, my cool summer outfit was purchased from there. Of course, I mean cool as in airy and chic! You can never go wrong with a store like that. :-)))

Processed with VSCO with a4 presetI hope that everyone is enjoying their summer so far. Happy, happy Monday.

girls

Friends, only two more days until my favourite show returns!

Last year I had posted my excitement about the arrival of Season 4. In my opinion, the first few episodes were a bit slow but also very fitting with the changing nature of Lena Dunham’s character Hannah, and ultimate commentary on our generation. By the time the finale had rolled around, we had witnessed some relationships fall apart, as well as come together, and a baby being born! How appropriate for my current situation.

This will be the second last season of Girls. While most people detest both Lena Dunham and the show, many women of my era can wholly relate to what she represents. I, therefore, love her and it.

Tune in for the season premiere this Sunday on HBO!

movie date ootd

Movie Date OOTD - 3Movie Date OOTD - 4A few days ago, Geoffrey and I went to see the film The Martian. What a great movie! We were able to catch it in 3D, which only made the experience that much more enjoyable. Coming from someone who is obsessed with thrillers and gory films, this one was equally as intense as watching a horror movie. I had to cover my eyes throughout several parts. It was that good!

Movie Date OOTD - 10Movie Date OOTD - 7Movie Date OOTD - 1Given that it is mid-October and we are still not wearing jackets during the day, I decided to take advantage of this unseasonably warm weather. I am trying to get away with not buying maternity clothes. So far, it has been easy. I have purchased a few new dresses, all one size up from what I normally wear. My leggings still fit, albeit they now rest under my growing stomach rather than comfortably on top. In two more days, I will be at the 20 week mark. I wonder how much longer I can go before I cave and have to start buying maternity outfits?

Movie Date OOTD - 5I purchased my dress from ThreadSence. The wool hat and terrarium necklace are for sale in the store.

ootd : all you need is love

IMG_8364Dress: Thrifted ; Top: Walmart ; Clogs: Lotta from Stockholm ; Glasses: Bonlook ; Earrings: Gifted

Lately, I have been publishing outfit posts either on items that I bought, or items that are available in the store. Because it has been awhile since I have shown you lovely readers what I can be found wearing on a day-to-day basis, I knew that it was time to have a blog post on my outfit of the day!

This Beatles-inspired look is combination of new and thrifted items. The shirt, especially, is from a store that I would never normally purchase clothes from, but with the word ‘LOVE’ surrounded in floral and lace, a girl would be crazy to pass it up. ;-)
