201.jpgGuys! It’s time to get all Halloweeny on your butts for a minute. Did you know that the great, spooky holiday is only 26 days away?! I only know that because I just looked it up, but still! Have you bought your candy yet? Do you know what your costume will look like? Have you started any of your DIYs? If your answers are no, no, and no, then I can help you rectify one of those problems right now with my latest craft for HaveHeart Magazine. Are you ready?

This is what you’ll need to do in order to start a little thing that I like to call the “Classic Pumpkin Project,” or “Readable Pumpkin DIY,” if you will.

1. Get an old book, preferably a scary one.

2. Track down some scissors, a glue gun, wire, and pencil.

3. Click this link here.

202.jpgEasy peasy scary squeezy! Ok, that was lame. Hey, it’s Friday night and I’m feeling a little happy. Actually, it’s probably Sunday as you’re reading this, but you get what I’m getting at. Enjoy!

img_1840Well, my little freelancing and rhubarb-loving butt has done it again! Ok, maybe not little, but the latter two statements are true! This month on HaveHeart, I have written an article on Rhubarb Mush. Avid readers of my blog will remember reading the original post here. However, it’s been all spiffied up with my editor Heather’s magic fingers. Why not take a look? I think that you will enjoy reading it again. :-)

IMG_1.jpgIt’s that time of the month again! No, not that time. I’m referring to my monthly reveal of HaveHeart Magazine. August’s issue was just released, and boy, oh boy, is it a good one!

There are articles on:

Glamping
Traveling to Las Vegas
Summer Reads
The Spinning Yogi
Backdrop DIY (mine, which is last but not least)

So grab your sunnies and your smart phones, get outside, pull up your lawn chairs, and get reading! This month’s edition has nothing but summertime goodness.

IMG_10.jpgHappy Monday, guys! How was your weekend? Did you get up to any 4th of July related activities? Mine was filled with working and taking an impromptu road trip with my husband. For a girl who normally prefers winter over summer months, I am loving how much easier and more fun it is to travel when there is not six feet of snow on the ground! I kind of don’t want the nice weather to go away, ever.

This month HaveHeart Magazine published a DIY of mine that is really great for the summertime. Most of you have seen it already, but here is the link again. Reclaimed wood, plants, dirt, moss, and chicken wire? A plant and sun enthusiast’s haven!

IMG_3142-1024x768Monday, Monday. Where has the time gone? It’s the start of a new week already, but I feel like today should be Saturday. These past few days have been such a whirlwind. Why, you may ask? Well, I’ll get to that on Wednesday! You must all know by now that I have a tendency to leave you guys in suspense. ;-)

Not only is it the beginning of a new week, but it is also the start of a new month! That means that HaveHeart’s June issue just came out. Have you checked it out yet? I am particularly proud of the article that I wrote this month, mainly because it is an entirely different approach from my regular DIYs. This is something that I have been living with for nearly half of my life. Something that I feel very proud about, but do not always receive positive feedback from. It is something that can create a bond between certain individuals, but a barrier with others. It is something that I have been wanting to write about and share with the world especially lately, but did not really have an opportunity to do so up until recently.

If you would like to know what I am referring to, please click here. Then please share on Facebook, Pinterest, and Twitter! HaveHeart loves people who support and engage other amazing people. That’s what the world should be about, don’t you think?
