what a great talkie!

based on a novel, which is based on true events, this film featured steve mcqueen, james garner, and charles bronson as the protagonists. it also managed to weave heavy themes into an overall lighthearted, and often humorous approach. although a little on the lengthy side, this is an excellent example of great cinematic storytelling.

if you like wwii era movies, or prison break movies, then you must see the great escape. even better, try to catch it in the theatre if it comes your way!

over and out. :-)

p.s. all of the photos were taken last night with my phone camera. i wasn’t going for quality, people. :-)
