store bought bones

We made it a prerogative to pick out our remaining bathroom lights, as well as our fridge, stove, washer, and dryer. In addition, we also had to meet a contractor out at our place first thing in the morning. In between all of that, I was also making deliveries for Potomac Trading Post, Ltd. Talk about a busy morning!

Processed with VSCOcam with a6 presetWe went to a lighting store that I’ve wanted to visit for a few years now. I picked out three really beautiful fixtures, which amounted to around $800. Then in true Emory form, I went home and found similar lighting for a fraction of the price online. Why do I even bother going shopping in person?

Processed with VSCOcam with c1 presetOur biggest expense was the lot of appliances that we ended up purchasing from the hardware store. I’ve had my eye on a combo washer and dryer unit for a few years now, and because we saved so much money on our fridge and stove, we decided to splurge on the w/d unit. I’m so excited!

2.jpgHello, friends. The end of August is only a few days away, which means that summer is also coming to an end. I can’t quite believe it. Let’s take a look back at how crazy and fun the past few weeks have been.

8We took a road trip to one of my favourite Canadian cities.

Screen Shot 2014-08-28 at 2.51.38 PMAll in all, it was a great month. I’m predicting that next month is going to be even busier!

Let’s all enjoy our last weekend in August.
