everyone needs : lotta from stockholm

Lotta from StockholmLotta from Stockholm - 11I have often posted about my love affair with Lotta from Stockholm. From my first pair of clogs, through to my last, it has been a beautiful relationship. That affinity has not gone unnoticed. Today, I will tell you why once more, I have fallen in love with the brand all over again.

Lotta from Stockholm - 5Winters on the Canadian prairies require exceptional footwear. Given that we experience up to 5 months or more of snow, it is imperative that each individual owns at least one pair of well-built boots that possess gripped soles and the ability to keep your feet warm. I personally require that they be cute as well.

Lotta from Stockholm - 6I had emailed the website a few weeks ago, stating that I was in search of my umpteenth pair of clog boots. My pregnant feet have already gone up an entire size. Simply asking if I may receive a discount, their reply was short and sweet. Sure, they said, we’ll send you a free pair! All I had to do was pick out my favourite boots, and they would be shipped right to my door. I almost cried at this remarkably kind gesture.

Lotta from Stockholm - 7After having great luck with the Sanita line, I decided on their restocked Peggy Sue Ankle Boot. I recently had to get rid of my favourite pair of black clog boots, and was hoping to replace them with an equal, all season alternative. The Sanita boots have far exceeded my expectations. To begin, they are so comfortable. I love that they are multidimensional in their colour and style. They also add much needed height without making me feel as if I am a towering figure. I dare say that they are the perfect winter boot.

Lotta from Stockholm - 9I could not be more thrilled with these boots. The fact that the people behind the brand are amazing souls as well confirms my statement that everyone needs Lotta from Stockholm in their lives.

ootd : all you need is love

IMG_8364Dress: Thrifted ; Top: Walmart ; Clogs: Lotta from Stockholm ; Glasses: Bonlook ; Earrings: Gifted

Lately, I have been publishing outfit posts either on items that I bought, or items that are available in the store. Because it has been awhile since I have shown you lovely readers what I can be found wearing on a day-to-day basis, I knew that it was time to have a blog post on my outfit of the day!

This Beatles-inspired look is combination of new and thrifted items. The shirt, especially, is from a store that I would never normally purchase clothes from, but with the word ‘LOVE’ surrounded in floral and lace, a girl would be crazy to pass it up. ;-)

what i wore: swedish floral army

WW6-2Today officially marks my first outfit post of the year!

WW6-1I decided to pair a few of my favourite clothing items together to make what I call my Swedish Floral Army outfit. I chose my favourite Lotta from Stockholm clogs, Forever21 flower leggings, ThreadSence skirt, and my newest H&M crop top. I feel girly, yet badass, and ready to take on the world. Overall, a great attitude to have and outfit to be wearing upon entering the new year!

WW6-3So, 2015, show me what you’re made of!

Lotta Sanita 6If you are a twenty or thirty-something female blogger living in North America, you are probably aware of Swedish Hasbeens. For those of you who have no idea what I’m talking about, no, this isn’t another way to describe a group of European beatniks. Rather, it’s an expensive and popular brand of footwear. They’re quite beautiful, really.

Lotta Sanita 1I believe that the fame of Swedish Hasbeens has skyrocketed ever since Elsie and Emma from A Beautiful Mess began to work with them. Since then, they are rarely seen in anything but Hasbeens, as are those who work with them and fans of the site. I, myself, have never owned a pair. One reason is because if you’ve learned anything about me from reading my blog, you will know that I like to be different from the crowd. That is not to say that I don’t follow trends. However, if and when I do, I make sure that it’s my own version of a trend. My mum often tells me that I always find the most roundabout way to do things. I think that she’s right.

Lotta Sanita 2Another reason why I am not a Hasbeens owner is because in my opinion, the shoes make the model’s feet look so little and narrow. While I do not have wide feet, I prefer shoes that fit very loosely, to the point of being too big on my feet. Call it the tomboy in me, but I like chunky shoes! Is that weird?

Lotta Sanita 3So, wanting to own a pair of beautiful clogs, but not wanting a pair of dainty-looking Hasbeens, I stumbled across Lotta from Stockholm. What a match made in heaven! Not only does Lotta contact you herself when you order from her website, but I find her range of footwear to be more alluring, unique, affordable, and what I can only assume to be more comfortable than Hasbeens. This latter fact is most important given than typically stylish footwear for women are not usually easy to wear. Lotta from Stockholm clogs most definitely are!

DSCN6890I bought my first pair of clogs from Lotta over a year ago and dedicated one of my first fashion posts to them. They have stood the test of time, and still look as new as the day that I took them out of the box. It has been a love affair ever since.

Lotta Sanita 4More recently, I expanded my little collection when I bought the Sanita Mina clog boots. I believe that they will be perfect for harsh Canadian winters. After posting a photo of me wearing them on Instagram, @lottafromstockholm and @sanitafootwear have both regrammed the photo on their accounts. I should start charging for all of this free publicity. Just kidding. ;-)))

Lotta Sanita 5I mean, do I not look extremely happy?
