The rise of the bearded male has certainly grown exponentially in the last few years. Never have they been so trendy since the famous hippie era. I personally love the look of them, whether it is simply a bit of scruff or a full on beard. I think that it adds character, much like one’s own hairstyle. 

My husband has had some sort of a beard in the five years that we have been married. However, he really began growing it out over the last two years. This has resulted in more upkeep and experimentation with different grooming products, namely beard oil.

While the effects of beard oil are apparently tremendously beneficial, the cost for one little bottle can be outrageously high. After googling simple recipes for the oil, I decided to make a batch for Geoffrey. It was incredibly easy to do so, and something that I suggest for all beard enthusiasts. Additionally, they would also make a great present year round!

Beard Oil DIY:

Ingredients

Almond oil
Scented essential oil
Glass bottle
Labels
Pen

Steps

1. Fill the glass bottle 2/3 with almond oil.

2. Add 25 drops of essential oil.

3. Shake, then top off with almond oil.
