Nightcrawler is not for the faint of heart. It’s a film for those of you who love true crime. I mean really love it. Love the suspense, love the gore, love the shock, love the twisted nature of it, and are always left wanting more. This movie is incredibly twisted, but in such a way that the sociopathetic tendencies of the main character are considered almost comical. In a dark humour sort of way, that is. You find yourself laughing all the way through the film, if not because his actions are so unbelievable, but because they are so believable that you do it as a coping mechanism. 

While the film is obviously fiction, it is shot more like a documentary. Consequently, that makes the events that occur feel much more intense and realistic. As the movie progresses, your involvement in the storyline also deepens. By the end of the film, you’re on the edge of your seat with anticipation. It’s nothing short of amazing.

If I were you, I would be running to the theatre to catch Nightcrawler on the big screen. That is, if you like real life crime stories. If you don’t, go and see it anyway.
