baby number three!

I am so thrilled to finally be able to share … WE ARE HAVING A BABY!!!

WoooooooOOOOOOoooooo!!! This is my fourth pregnancy and (hopefully) third child. We are just beyond excited and blessed to be adding one more to our family.

Like my other pregnancies, I have been pretty ill for this one as well. However, the sickness is slowly subsiding, and I feel as if I can start doing all the little things again.

Our baby is due in early December. Only 6 more months to go. 💛💛💛

happy birthday, husband

Tomorrow is Geoffrey’s birthday.

What a year we had. I struggled for most of it with health anxiety, and you remained my rock. You never once showed me that you were worried alongside me, and you seemed to understand when my mood would swing because of it.

When work slowed down and you were laid off as a result, you transferred to a different city that day and picked up right where you left off. You continue to work day and night for us, and *rarely* complain. ;-)))

You completed every project I asked for, and indulged me when I brought home 5 new cats and kittens.

Here you are with your little girl who has you wrapped around her little finger. We all love you so much!!

Happy birthday, Geo!

ten months old

Our Wilder is now 10 months old! This was a month of many, many new things for him.

Wilder saw the ocean! And mountains! Plus two new provinces! We got out of our prairie routine and took a 2-week vacation to BC where we mostly stayed with family. There, Wilder saw landscapes that he has never seen before. I will be very excited to share that with him when he is old enough to understand.

He now points to objects. He also gives high fives. It’s the cutest dang thing.

He says “mama” on repeat. I swear he also says “hey dad” sometimes as well.

He is constantly standing with support and walks along furniture.

He is still breastfed but is beginning to not want it as much. He now only wakes once or twice during the night, and nurses for just a few minutes. He is growing up too quickly!

Only 2 more months until he is a toddler. My mama heart just isn’t ready.

october corn maze

corn-maze-1Last Sunday, Geoffrey, Remy, and I visited a local corn maze. Located just outside of the city, it’s actually on the highway to The Little Barn. Because it’s held at the same location each year, I told my husband that one great aspect to living in TLB was that we would be only a few minutes away from the corn maze. Then we moved, and once again, it’s a bit of a drive for us.

corn-maze-12corn-maze-3Like I said, we had been planning on going to the maze for months. Actually, I’ve been planning it since before Remy was born. This was something that Geoffrey and I have done every year since we started dating. Fall is our favourite season, and being outside in the maze on what usually ends up being a grey day (also our favourite), is like heaven to us. We intend to take Remy to a corn maze every year until she’s too cool to go with us anymore. I’m honestly just so excited for this tradition!

corn-maze-8corn-maze-9Being so close to Halloween, I was worried that the maze was going to be busy. It turns out that we were virtually the only ones there. We couldn’t have planned it better. We had so much fun, and little Rem was a’maze’d.

corn-maze-11All in all, the maze was muddy and the weather was a little chilly and gloomy. It was absolutely perfect.

corn-maze-15Only four days until Halloween!

matching green dresses

Processed with VSCO with a4 presetHave any of you ever seen The Money Pit? It has always been one of my favourite movies. Little did I know that I would one day be living it out.

Our new home so far has had its share of issues. Remember the scene in the film where Tom Hanks and Shelley Long had to boil water in order to take a bath? We did that for a week. Or when Hanks rings the doorbell and gets shocked, so he starts knocking on the door and it falls in? I got locked out one afternoon when I tried unlocking the door and my key got stuck in the lock and is now permanently bent. Or when they had to pack up the house and move out in order for it to get exterminated? Oh wait, that was us.

Processed with VSCO with a4 presetLast week was a complete nightmare. We ended up having to move back to the acreage while our own money pit was getting sprayed. While we were staying there, I wanted to make the most of it. I slowly began to feel more like myself. The weather was gorgeous, and the dogs were able to roam freely, and my little sidekick of a daughter adjusted exceptionally well. So on one particular day, I put on our new green dresses, and Remy and I had a photo shoot.

Processed with VSCO with a4 presetThank goodness for my family. If it wasn’t for them, I don’t know where we would’ve gone with all of our things, a baby, two dogs, and a cat. We will turn this money pit around, slowly, but surely.
