weekly wears

PrairieShoot2There’s been a big change between this week’s post and last week’s – there’s now snow on the ground! (Cue sobbing sounds.) If nothing else, it only adds to the beauty of the landscape. But holy crap, is it ever cold. Why couldn’t I have started this series during the summer months?

PrairieShoot3This outfit was working overtime that day in order to keep me warm. Let me tell you though, it did the trick.

These items are now available in the store.

cactus flower

4.jpg 8.jpgDuring our last trip to Edmonton, Geoffrey and I went on a massive shopping spree for new clothes. We never shop for outfits in our current city, so when we are able to get away, we always make sure to squeeze in time to do so then. This last time I had apparently went flower crazy. Without realizing it, I bought a floral crop top from H&M, a floral skirt from Forever21, and floral leggings, again, from F21.

6.jpg 2.jpgMaybe it’s because I was so damn happy to be in Edmonton that I subconsciously wanted my blossoming soul to match my clothing, or maybe because it was the middle of summertime, or maybe its because I bought these items on two different trips to West Ed Mall and didn’t put two and two together. Or two and one together. Whatever the case, it doesn’t really matter. I bought three great items from some amazing stores for under $50.

7.jpg 3.jpgWhat happens when these happy accidents occur? Put your flower outfit together and go and have a photo shoot with your husband, who is also adorned in H&M clothing. Because baby, it’s an Indian Summer and let’s enjoy it like two cacti in the sweltering sun.

5.jpg 1.jpgHave a great last weekend in September, y’all!

what i bought – uo beach towels

5.jpgNow that hell has frozen over and I’ve become a regular beach bum, I decided that it was time to invest in some beach towels. I turned to no other place than my favourite hipster store, Urban Outfitters. I bought a Relax towel for myself, and a Pendleton towel for my husband. But like any good mother, I love them both equally. ;-)))

29627304_011_bPendleton Glacier Park Towel $38

31244965_030_dRelax Beach Towel $12 (was $24)

4.jpgWith my towel, flats, Kinfolk Magazine, and Polaroid camera packed, I’m ready to hit the beach. See you all on the flip side!

fantastic deals at the hello, scarlett store

top43152Did you guys know that the Hello, Scarlett Store has been reopened on eBay? I just realized that I forgot to mention it to you! How should I rectify this? By offering a SALE, of course!

From Sunday July 27 – Sunday August 3 everything in the store will be 25% and free shipping!! Make sure that you take a look at all my items. Spend a lot of time perusing, because there is something for both men and women. Once you add the item to your cart, checkout, and send me the message “HSB SALE” and I will send you back the discounted price. I mean, c’mon, how could you not be tempted?

Let’s enjoy our last weekend in July!

P.S. Happy birthday to this girl and blogger!

bang bang (my baby shot me down)

2.jpgLast year I made the confession that I am not a purse person. I have to make a point of buying a new bag once a year. If not, I will happily use the same one until it falls to bits and pieces. This I’ve done before.

If you have already read the previous post, then you will also know that I finally visited the most amazing clothing store that I discovered through Instagram. One of my many purchases from that store was, you guessed it, a new purse! This one is by the brand Liebeskind, which literally translates to “child of love.” Based on my German background, the name, the colour (Watermelon), and its overall uniqueness were the biggest reasons why I went ahead and bought it. Plus it’s so soft! Also, the sale price did help.

3.jpg1.jpgSo here it is, my Bonnie Vintage Leather Handbag! I hope that you get the significance of this title now that you know the name of the bag.

4.jpgIt really is the cutest little purse. If you have not yet owned anything by Liebeskind, you must go track it down and get all touchy-feely with their items! You will never be the same.  In a good way.
